Halloween: the holiday where we get to dress up as someone else, eat heaps of candy, and watch scary movies. It’s also one of the most fun dates for a wedding! While it may seem taboo or unlucky to get married on Halloween, we’re here to change your mind with five reasons to consider getting married on Halloween!
The Fall Decor
No offense to the winter holidays, but there is just something about fall decor. The pumpkins, vibrant, bold flowers, and rich, dark colors make for the perfect wedding palette. And in the south (like Florida), the weather starts to just chilly enough to not melt at a wedding ceremony (no pun intended).
The Chance to Go Ultra Moody
If you’re fully committed to the Halloween spirit, you can go all out for your wedding and play into the dark, moody vibes associated with the holiday. Whether that’s black bridesmaid dresses, black wedding dress, or a dark red and purple floral arrangement, a Halloween wedding is the perfect time to play with different traditions.

With any themed wedding, the detail possibilities are endless. For example, a Halloween wedding lends itself to non-traditional food and drinks such as a black wedding cake or a Champagne toast with a black glitter (edible!) rim.
