While it’s tradition and common to post a photo of your engagement ring, you can make it unique to you by placing your hand near a significant location, holding your favorite drink, petting your pup or cat, or holding your fiance’s hand. 

Re-Create Your Favorite TV Show 

A super unique and fun way to announce your engagement is by recreating a scene from your favorite TV show. TikTok star Elyse Meyers did this for her pregnancy announcement by recreating a scene from ‘The Office’! Although that takes a bit more work, it’ll be so fun to look back on and remember the moment!

Be Subtle 

If subtlety is more your scene, hide your engagement announcement in a hashtag. Post a seemingly normal picture of you or you and your future spouse and use a hashtag such as #WereEngaged or #ISaidYes and see which follower catches on first.

This trend is becoming increasingly popular, but involving your four-legged friend is a cute way to announce your engagement - especially if they are a frequent face on your Instagram or TikTok! You can keep it simple and tie the ring around their collar or neck or take a picture with a cute sign next to them. Or, you can even create a custom collar or collar tag, or shirt with your engagement date!

If you don’t want to show your wedding journey on your personal Instagram, you can create a wedding specific account. This is great for couples who want to keep all their wedding posts, videos, and stories in one place. You can announce the new account on your personal account so people can follow along!
