Dreamy Bohemian Outdoor Wedding at Mill Pond Estate

As it turns out, May the 4th is a perfect day for celebrating all things love—and Star Wars too! Hosted in the spring, Justin and Genessi’s outdoor wedding featured sweet personal details balanced out by a dreamy bohemian theme and luxe floral decorations. Keep reading to learn more about their special day at Mill Pond Estate, and get inspired to host a wedding true to your interests and hobbies.

Getting Ready at the Estate House

Justin and Genessi made great use of the multiple buildings Mill Pond Estate offers for getting ready. Justin and his groomsmen spent the morning in the rustic-inspired Barn Cottage, while Genessi and her bridesmaids enjoyed the modern Estate House. Her wedding day look was a stunning fit-and-flare dress with a sweetheart neckline and off-the-shoulder sleeves. It featured intricate lace from top to bottom, including the long train. She paired it with a cathedral-length veil and an extravagant bohemian bridal bouquet made of fluffy pampas grass, palm fans, blush roses, and fresh eucalyptus. Justin looked handsome in a dark navy suit and white tie. His boutonniere matched the bride’s bouquet, with bunny tails and bright terracotta-colored ribbon. The pair’s wedding party matched their elegant bohemian color scheme, with the bridesmaids in mismatched taupe gowns and the groomsmen in navy suits.

A Luxe Outdoor Ceremony at the Broken Oak

The two hosted their outdoor ceremony beneath the centuries-old Broken Oak, a popular backdrop amongst our couples. Dripping with moss, it was a stunning space that beautifully complemented the upscale bohemian theme. The geometric wooden archway decorated with pampas grass and crisp roses served as the perfect focal point. Rattan lamp shades were hung from branches overhead. Of course, we can’t forget to mention their honored guest Snip—the best boy throughout the ceremony. As a dog-friendly wedding venue, we not only invite you to bring your furry family members but encourage it!

The Romantic Boho Garden Reception

A shift from the opulent ceremony, Justin and Genessi opted for a more minimal reception in the Flower Garden. They wanted to allow the natural beauty of the outdoor space to shine. Guests were greeted by elegant banquet tables starring dainty arrangements in bud vases reused from the ceremony. Bistro lights cast a cozy and soft glow onto the party below. It made for an intimate evening, especially during the couple’s first dance underneath a magical sunset.

Tidbits of Star Wars fandom were sprinkled throughout the night. Guests signed their names on a Millennium Falcon, a fun decor piece the couple can display in their home to commemorate the occasion for years to come. When it was time to wrap up the evening, the two left the venue through a tunnel of light sabers, a clever alternative to sparklers or bubbles that made the event feel truly unique to them.

Thanks to Stephany Perry Events for helping this duo create such a timeless and joyful celebration. We’re thrilled to have been a part of it, and we wish Justin and Genessi all the best as they take on life together. May the Force be with them!
