Your Guide to Including Your Pet in Your Wedding

Our four-legged friends are not just pets, they’re family members. If you feel the same way, why not include them in your wedding day? There are many ways to include your furry friend in your big day - here are 15 of our favorite ways to include your pet in your wedding:

  1. Walk down the aisle together.

  2. Pose for pictures together such as when you’re getting ready or after the ceremony.

  3. Rather than a two-legged ring bearer, consider having your four-legged friend bring your rings down the aisle.

  4. Incorporate them in your attire by including a portrait on your pocket square or even on your veil.

  5. Get their viewpoint by attaching a GoPro to their collar to get some seriously cute footage.

  6. Have them get ready with you for not only some quality time but some adorable photo opportunities.

  7. Dress them up in their own attire - whether they’re a bridesmaids, flower girl, groomsman, or ring bearer.

  8. Incorporate your pet’s portrait in your party favors (i.e. match sticks, candles, candies, etc.).

  9. Make them a signature drink! Name your signature cocktails after them and include their portrait on the bar sign.

  10. Speaking of stationary, why not include a cute portrait or picture of them on the “Save the Date” and/or RSVP cards?

  11. Take engagement photos together to get them even more involved in the wedding planning process. Bonus points for cute “my humans said ‘i do’” attire!

  12. Incorporate your pet into your sweet treats by adding cake toppers in their portrait.

  13. Or, go even further and create a custom cake in the shape of your furry friend!

  14. Have photo booth props so guests can join in on the fun and go home with cute photos!

  15. Consider including a philanthropic aspect to your wedding by encouraging guests to donate to their local animal rescue in lieu of wedding gifts.

There are many more ways to include your four-legged sidekick in your wedding but these are 15 of our favorite ones! How would you incorporate your furry friend into your big day?
